The inner ring
Today, at 3.20pm local time, we entered the arctic circle in blazing sunshine yet with patches of snow around us. So we had an ice cream and laid about on rocks looking enigmatic to passers by.
After dropping back down to sea level we've found a great spot to stop near Krakmow. We're right by a fjord so had a little fish and I caught the smallest cod one could bother eating. We shared it pan seared with a little pesto.
We managed 400 miles today. Highest temperature 85f and lowest 51f which was in the middle of a 5 mile tunnel through a mountain.
The roads have been fantastic today, mighty swoopy for the corner lovers here.
Last thing. We got to our first stop for petrol after 50 miles this morning for Frank to find his tea mug had been balanced on the back of his seat all the way since breakfast. He's now stating that he's the smoothest of riders.
Tomorrow we'll get to Langfjord. It's about 360miles to go so I think we can be expected about 5 to 6.

A long first day
500 miles did we say? We've done well to manage 430 given the 30+ miles of roadworks we enjoyed at an average of 25 mph.
The weather has been, mostly, great if not a touch warm for full motorcycle gear. The hottest I saw on my onboard stat was 83F. It's still 70 as we sit having just eaten at 10pm local time. And it's still daylight!
Frank has been exciting local ladies by leaving the door unlocked on the toilet.
I've been narrowly avoiding a Toyota Rav 4 who took me by surprise.
Frazer has been mainly looking at his sat nav.
All in all a team effort so far.
Last we looked we have about 730 miles left to get to Pam and Jon's so Friday evening is looking good unless we find a particularly good fishing spot tomorrow.
The main point of interest passed today was Lillehammer where the 1994 winter Olympics took place. No snow today though.
No pictures posted tonight, I'll hopefully collate some when we're near a wifi tomorrow, or it'll be a mass upload from llangfjord when we get there.
We're hoping the weather stays good for tomorrow.
Signing out for now.

Late start
We're starting from Oslo a bit later than planned. We'll be docking at 9.30 local time. Weather is cloudy and about 15 degrees. It's supposed to brighten as we go north, though probably won't warm up much.
Frank and I have been doing a little qi gong on the top deck to loosen up and prepare getting is some sideways glances from locals. Maybe we can teach them
